In trying to weave a trip to Paris in the novel, I was delighted to find that both Paris Photo and the Eurostar existed at the time in which the novel is set.
My next piece of research is to establish when Eurostar stopped announcing: (a) We’re about to go under the Channel and (b) We have now reached our top speed of whatever it was. They’re just so blasé these days …
