Lunch in Paris

O nuit d'amour from Faust by Gounod

So giving the plot of the next chapter away, Eve does invite John to Paris and he agrees.  Both are uncertain whether the invitation is strictly business or a little more.  Feeling a bit photo’d out, I curtailed my photography viewing and decided that the happy couple would go to St Germain for lunch, and I would too, in order to do some research so that the writing was authentic.  I originally thought that they might go to Le Precope, but it was more of a restaurant than a café and might make a good dining spot for them at a later date, but I was looking for something more relaxed for lunch.  I chose Le Buci.  One of the pleasures of novelling, that never fails to please, is the way you just make it up as you go along, depending on what inspires at the time.  Today, it was raining heavily and so no surprises for guessing that whilst in Paris, they run hand-in-hand in the rain …

**spoiler alert** And I felt that O nuit d’amour was a most apposite opera track,
