Back in Time

Der Vogelfänger bin ich ja from Die Zauberflöte by Mozart

We go back in time today to Eve’s years at boarding school, when she discovered that she had a truly creative streak.  With the help of a generous Christmas presents – a guilt gift from her parents for sending her to boarding school – we discover her forte.  The book is jumping about a bit, but I think it all makes sense and with some clear signposts to tell the reader the time and place, the rest should be evident.

I’m now facing something of a dilemma because, as in previous years, I’m off to Paris Photo this week.  But unlike previous years, I’m wondering if Paris is relevant to this year’s plot.  In NaNos of old, I had always diverted the story so that part of it could take place on the banks of the Seine, the Georges V or Paris Opera.  This year, there really isn’t any space for Paris, unless our protagonist has a quick fling with the man from the ministry and they choose Paris for their liaison.  Stay tuned to find out …

Today’s music is from an opera that I often listen to when I’m writing, so we have to include a track from Die Zuberflöte on this year’s playlist.
