Day five of NaNo, and a day of gunpowder, treason and plot.
Stefan has spent the day reading the papers from the Foundation, while Christian has been exploring argots and fictional registers. The one that I found the most fascinating was from Polish author, Janusz A Zajdel in Paradyzja. Paradyzja is a space station where the computers are super-smart, so the inhabitants speak in metaphors, but they can’t use the same metaphor twice, as the computer has by then worked out the meaning. I would love to read this book, but I can only find Polish copies, and my Polish is severely lacking. Tomorrow the action moves to Paris, as do I.
