Stefan, Pauline and Domingo
Three days to go and feeling plot-lite but character full. I’ve completed my Proust questionnaires for the two main characters – my lovely protagonist, Stefan, and his vituperative antagonist, Pauline.
I’ve also constructed my playlist, which I’ll be revealing from Friday – we’re not at the opera this year, but instead are bopping along to Europop – although I’m sure some of the artists I’ve chosen would hate to be considered as Europop …
Having had the most magnificent evening last night in the company of Placido Domingo, (although it was with 2,275 other people) I feel that Domingo, Macbeth and a night at the opera will feature somewhere in the novel. Is it the opening scene? If I can think of a good first paragraph, then yes, it may well be.
